Yup, same status here. Shipping Update Oct 12...but nothing more since that change about a week ago.
Ordered white non-engraved. I still have hope. Although the new W series does look a little better with larger 6 cell battery, 2 gigs RAM and Windows 7 pre installed. But was a good deal on this one.
