Kindle 3G  Wi-F Graphite 6" Display
As a university student, I detest showing off of my laptop computer. The backlighting airs my centers and the fact that the Internet has jillions of misdirections does n't aid me center either.

My Kindle is the perfect solution to both of those problems ,it is the perfect donnish and amateur associate for any university student that loves to read.

Kindle, Wi Fi, 6" E Ink Pearl Display vs. Nook 1 Touch Color : Many people have compared the individual specs, so I will refrain from that.

I also do not own a Nook and have not used one, so this is just from my personal experience. I am concentrating in Information Systems for my undergraduate degree, and I love to have the best of the best technology-wise.

At the time I purchased my Kindle (December 25, 2010), the Nook Touch had not been released and CNET had declared the Kindle the better e-reader.

Since the release of the Nook Touch, it's really a squeaker. A CNET prizefight the week of July 21st, 2011 rated the Kindle 4/5 and the Nook Touch 4.4/5. Regardless of which one is "better," if you 're trying to make that decision, I can assure you that if you purchase a Kindle you will be a happy customer, as I am.

I do like that the Nook Touch has expandable memory, but I do n't re-read books often and do n't read thousands at one time, so it is not a necessity for me. As for the Nook Color, I really have no personal interest in it as it is backlit and does n't serve any purpose to me.

If I want to read something backlit, I'll read it off of my laptop, and I definitely don't read entire books on a backlit device. Bottom line, I would choose the Kindle again simply because Amazon sells it.
