This is a typical Denon product. For its size, it sounds great. The online radio thing is a bit limited as to stations and a pain to run through the choices but once selected works well. The built in tuner is Denon, good, not amazing. There is plenty of power. I have a bedroom DVD player hooked to it for the audio side and that is outstanding. Great sound and a simple to use sleep timer. Ipod gets a charge and is reasonably easy to use. IF I were the design guy, I would have taken it one step further, made the CD a DVD and added video thruput. A small bedroom TV can survive without ultimate video and the OSD would really help with operation, plus most TVs come with a sleep timer as well so you are home, but I'm not a designer. I am however a bit of an audiophile, picky about speakers and sound quality as well as a HT professional so maybe my opinion is worth something. So nice sound and cumbersome operation for the older user.

Purchased the item after much research and comparison. This is a "quality" product, with a lot of features. One review that I read said that it doesn't charge ipod: my
ipod classic charges, but I don't know about the others. Everything that I have to say about this product is 'rave, rave, rave'. The sound is uniquely clear and more than
adequate for my bedroom. For the price, it is a good buy. I recommend it to everyone.

Decided to give this Internet radio a shot since it was such a good price at $99 with free shipping. It's a solidly built product with good sound quality. I would have given it 5 stars except that it took me several days of "googling" for an answer as to why it would not work wirelessly. I finally ran across a blog that indicated you need to download a firmware update to get it to perform properly. I downloaded the firmware and now it works quite well, both with internet radio and accessing files from my home computers on my home network. Accessing the correct songs from my computer is a bit awkward but it does work. So, overall I recommend this product as a good quality internet radio!

SQ is typical Denon... neutral and analytical with rolled-off highs. I am ok with that, especially at the $91 price I paid for Amazon B-stock. Good build quality. Now to the oddities:
- iPod/iPhone dock doesn't charge. wtf is that? Will have to use the aux via the headphone out. Really? No charging?
- Setup was not terribly straightforward. Wireless on WEP worked ok (more later) but could not complete firmware download on wifi, so I had to connect cat5 to router. I suggest leaving it on ethernet if possible.
- Command "wheel" is a pain. Remote works well, but the up-arrow button does not work. I bought the unit to use with Rhapsody and works GREAT when controlled via remote. Don't bother with the controls on the unit once you're set-up.
- Wireless. Works fine but has a bit of a lag compared to ethernet. Once you setup a wired connection it's a pain to go back to wireless. Truth be told, I haven't tried wifi since the initial setup, but when I disconnect the cat5 cable it doesn't auto-switch to wifi.
For $90 (or $166 NIB) it's a steal.

I really should have listened to the negative reviews and assumed that there was a good reason that something that retailed at $499 was now selling for $99. Based on past experience with Denon products, I decided to take a chance. The first unit arrived and would not connect to my wireless network. I'm relatively tech savvy and have never had an issue connecting anything else. I would get everything entered and then, when I tried to connect, I would get a message connecting please wait. It never connected or even showed a failed connection, just connecting please wait. If I tried re-entering everything, sometimes I'd get the list of wireless networks and sometimes I'd get access point not found. When that happened, I'd have to reset the unit before I could get a list again. I called Denon Tech Support (available M-F 9-7, great if you're unemployed). The technician had me do exactly what I had already done way too many times. When the access point not found came up again, he said it must be a bad network card and suggested I bring it in locally for repair. I contacted Amazon and they were great. They're picking up the old unit and shipped a new one overnight which I just got. Guess what! It's doing exactly the same thing as the first one. I guess it wasn't a bad network card after all. I'm not sure if this is just not compatible with an ATT 2Wire modem/router or if it's something else. You would think that if it can find the network, that it could connect to it. I have spent two evenings banging my head against the wall. I guess I could forget it and consider it an AM/FM clock radio that's a bit overpriced. I bought it for the bedroom and an ethernet connection isn't really an option. I'll let this sit on connecting.... please wait for the weekend and try Denon Tech Support again on Monday. I'm not expecting anything to come from that, but I'll try. I don't think they know what the issue is. I'm pretty sure that this will be going back to Amazon next week also. It really wasn't worth this much frustration. Buyer beware. It's probably a decent system if it connects for you, but it's a nightmare when it doesn't.
UPDATE: I saw a note in one of the other reviews and tried updating the firmware on an ethernet connection. That did the trick and I can connect now. It seems like Tech Support should have been aware of that but thankfully I have Amazon reviews to depend on. I'm liking the unit so far. It would have been nice to have Pandora, but I'll survive.
