This is an excellent camera for almost everything except video. There is a problem with vertical lines produced by brighter areas of the image, especially in HD. This is most notably evident in a situation where a spot of sunlight is reflected from an object into the image, but it occurs in many other images. This will cause a bright vertical line to streak that entire frame at the point of brightness. I returned the original camera twice for a replacement, and all three of the cameras I tried have the same problem, which Casio seems unwilling to own up to. I have used the Exilim for many years and am now on my third model of this usually excellent product. The older models I have used do NOT have this problem with the video, so it is not endemic to video imaging. I do not know if it is a problem with software or what, but I am frustrated with Casio Service not correcting this problem.

Absolutely awesome.
The smallest camera around.
Stilish, everybody is gelous of my tuny S12.
Takes GREAT pics, also in dim light.
And HD video, too.
Battery life is fantastic.
In a nutshell: the best compact around, IMO. And you can take it with you in your pocket, always.
Definitely a 5 stars.

Thius is a greta camera if you are not looking to become an expert photographer. It takes great pictures, very easy to use. The features are easy to figure out too.

Great feature set for the price including HD video. Highly portable & excellent build quality. Controls & buttons are quite small making it a challenge for people with big fingers like me.
