"DRILLED" 2010-10-28
By JAV-VOLTAGE
I have been in the electrical trade for 10yrs now and have used many drills and many other tools. I have been using a BOSCH drill that was given to me by a contracter I know when my MILWAUKEE was dropped and suffered a wobbly chuck. So, I have been debating on what kind of drill set to purchase since I really dont like the BOSCH I have been using for about 6 months. I didnt know if I was going to stick to MILWAUKEE (that i had been using for years before it took a fall off the top of a 12foot ladder)or move on to a DEWALT or HILTI. BUT... on oct.23rd the night of the UFC I watched Cain Valasquez "drill" Brock Lesnar into a bloody pulp. The reason I bring that up is because Cain was sponsored by MILWAUKEE TOOLS and had a huge MILWAUKEE LOGO advertisment on the back of his trunks. Later that night I purchased this m18 2tool kit and AM SO GLAD I DID. Even tho I have only had my kit for a couple days I can tell that this kit is very sturdy and very well balanced. Its capable of running the bigger XC batteries that supply a lot of extra life (plenty of life so far with the smaller batts included). I would highly recomend this tool bundle and will def stick to MILWAUKEE for years to come if they continue to make tools like these. GO CAIN AND VIVA SAN JOSE CALI!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Best drill driver set for the money" 2010-10-19

I have an aging Dewalt cordless drill whose batteries would not hold their charge. Doing a cost/benefit analysis, it seemed to make sense to get a new drill rather then buy new batteries which are really pricey. In researching the options on Amazon, I came across this Milwaukee drill/driver combo. I couldn't believe the price, and the reviews were on the whole very strong. So I took the plunge, spending slightly more than I would have if I just purchased the drill.

I've never used an impact driver before, and it is quickly becoming indispensable. You can't believe the power in this little package - no more torqing out, damaged screw heads, and the like. Now it will take a little time to feel what each drill is best at, but for sheer driving power of screws and bolts, the impact driver is unbelievable.

The drill is also very good, though my only complaint is that the speed switch can stick a little going between the 1st and 2nd gears. I'll have to keep an eye on that.

All in all, they feel great in the hand, the batteries seem to have decent life, and I like the battery life indicator lights, a feature my old Dewalt never had. Great products, great value!

"Milwaukee is the best!" 2010-10-11

Milwaukee is the best made. This combo pack for under $200 is the best deal out there. Milwaukee has the best quality and solid features. The battery meter, built in light, solid grip handle, and the best locking grip for all bits asre just some features that make Milwaukee the best.

"best deal" 2010-09-30

i install kitchens and build stairs and this combo kit is the best deal i could find. It's strong enough for most applications and the batteries last for about 4 hours of non-stop work. They charge in about 20 mins. I would reccomend this to any professional contractor.

"Amazing Torque" 2010-09-28
By Chris Davis (Minnesota)
I was going to buy a cheaper brand cordless drive when we built our deck, but my son-in-law encouraged me to look at this set from Milwaukee. Yes, it cost 3x what the other driver cost, but it was well worth it. The impact driver has amazing torque and the Li-ion batteries are great and provide full power up until their last gasp. Charging is fast, so we never had any downtime - just kept swapping batteries all day.

Life is too short to buy cheap tools. Get something good like this Milwaukee set.
