We bought this for my oldest daughter when she was 2.5yrs old (now nearly 4) she still loves to play with it. She has been able to practice drawing letters on it shortly after we bought it, which was impressive! I loved that it used games and tracing to help engage them. My youngest daughter also loves to play with it. She just turned 2. Even though this toy is a bit advanced for her, she loves to explore the letters and games it has. This toy also gets "handled" by both girls and not gently sometimes. It still looks and works great! My favorite use for this toy is to keep it in our car or backpack for travel. This is really handy to keep them busy in drs offices or while on longer drives.

I got this for my daughter when she was 18 months because she is so advanced. She has played with it off and on, but just recently started really enjoying it, and today all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore.She's never been rough with it or dropped it or anything of the like. Now none of the buttons work. Which basically renders it useless. I thought the batteries were dying so I changed them, but nope. That didn't help at all. I'm probably going to give in and get her another one, but if it happens again, I'm going to complain to the company.

My son uses this to be more accurate in his letters and numbers. It also has shapes and drawing games. He has had this since pre-k and has really good handwritting. I beleive if you are looking for something that will entertain but also give a learning side, this is the learning devise to give and get!

the little 5 year old receiving it was behind in school. it really taught her the alphabet and how to write it -- so she is up to speed.
