When your wife tells you she wants a leaf blower - be carefull. The rule for men is never give your wife an appliance. Now I reasoned a leaf blower is a tool - safe so far. Then, when it's delivered in the NC mountains, the question is can she assemble it, plug it in, and turn it on - first time out of the box. I got an e mail - "It works great. It's powerful. I love it". We have a 100 foot driveway to the road full of leaves and pine straw, two large decks, and flower/shrub beds to clear. The multi-speed control makes it easy to move a little or a lot. Would like to see a ground recepticle on the blower power cord and a better way to prevent disconnect without having to loop the extension cord. Haven't tried the mulch or bag feature yet. Well that's one item I can check off the Christmas list. Thank you Amazon and Toro.

I love this leaf blower/vac. The vacuum function works very well with dry leaves and even with damp leaves. However, the other day I vacuumed up some really wet and matted leaves - bad move. The upshot is that the leaves turned to muck inside the blower. The action of the impeller caused the stuff to adhere to the inside of the machine thanks to centrifugal force. No harm done. I had to spend a half an hour or so cleaning it out while sitting out in the sun. Not the end of the world by any means. The machine still works great but it was a royal pain to get all the crap out of it, especially if you have big hands. Note that without cleaning it out, the suction was vastly diminished. Just a heads up that I hope will save someone else the same experience.

Great Blower. More powerful than the gas blower I returned to Lowes. ($99 worth of junk) The TORO blower is powerful and easy to use. But the vacuum is almost useless.
