This is a great case for the price. The walls are rigid enough to actually offer some amount of defense from impact. The inside is lined with a soft fabric to avoid scratching your drive (if that's really an issue to you). The compartment for the cable isn't extremely large, but plenty to house any cable for a portable hard drive.
