I purchased this item for an 8-month old nephew. He has yet to put it down. The holes are great for little hands, and the bendy material, along with the rattle/bell inside make it a big hit. Although, it does hurt a little when you get whacked in the head with it, it's far less painful than many other toys to be beaten with by your baby.

Baby (9 months+) likes to bang it. She does not use it like a ball yet but she likes looking at the colors and putting it in her mouth.

baby is 6 months, but it's too heavy for her to shake it,seldom use it. Will see when she grow older

Not sure why, but my boy was completely uninterested in this toy. It's well made and cute but no matter how many times I offered it to him, he would just lose interest. Fortunately, it's cheap!
