I bought this to replace my Macally "leather" cover because I needed one that worked with the new MagSafe connector. I did a lot of shopping before purchasing, and I am very glad I settled on this one. The fit is great - it fits snugly, it doesn't have a lip at the top of the base to interfere with typing as my last cover did, and as promised, it does allow my MagSafe to be used in the rear-facing position, freeing up all the other ports. I love the feel - grippy but solid, and very lightweight. And it looks great. My last cover didn't allow the Apple logo to shine through, and this one does; it's a nice feature. And the purple is a very nice shade - not too bright, but also not as dark as it appeared in some of the pictures. All in all, it's the perfect Fall/Winter coat for my beloved MBP, and I hope they come out with a nice Citrine for Spring.

This case is perfect for my MacBook Pro. It was VERY easy to put on (although I don't know what the little red stopper things are for; just to hold them together when off?) and the item came in perfect condition. The box it came in was sort of beat up, but only a little bit. I'm pretty sure that was just from the seller and not the actual shippers. I love the satin feel--it won't get scratched as easily as the other cases. Don'e hesitate to get this! It's perfect.

I went for this product because it does not have that inexpensive plastic-y look, and I wanted to keep the same "sleekness" that the original macbookpro has, knowing that I am clumsy enough to require laptop protection. It has a really nice feel, and the only drawback, is any type of oil or grease from your hands can leave marks on the cover. But this can be easily wiped away.
This product is easy to put on, and seems secure for the 3-4 weeks I have had it.

This speck case are really good, it just exacty same as apple store but cheaper one, good shipped fast but the box is too big. but all i care is that speck case is really brillant and I am happy I bought the right case! and just fit on my pro perfect! you should get it if you want it if you got macbook pro 13''

If you are very meticulous with your Mac, just like me. This is the product for you. Having the ability to basically carry your Mac around with the case on, gives you the freedom of versatility without the bulk. With the case on, you don't have to worry about scratches and other stains that may get on the outside of you MacBook. Also, the case is very stylish. The glowing Apple logo gives a "smokey" purple look to it, in addition, all the lights can be seen (eg: battery content, sleep light). It also provides the ability to access ports and the CD drive around the computer.
*As great as this case may be, it is extremely hard for me to take it off once it's on. The hinges lock very tight around the edge of the Mac. It is not impossible, but very hard to accomplish. Just be careful to avoid scratches at these points.
Other than that, great case, great product. Happy to have purchased it.
