PANDIGITAL PRD07T20WBL1 7 Inch
This is the third color wi-fi reader I have tried since Christmas. The Velocity Cruz was a joke as a reader or a real wi-fi browser -- could not read anything but Borders books, even with all of the firmware updates and apps I could do.

The apps that came installed did n't even work. It locked up all the time -- basically useless. The Kobo Lookbook I did n't even take out of the box once I realized it could only use wi-fi to download books.

I was hesitant to try the Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1 7" with all of the bad reviews, but took a chance buying it locally on sale for $ 129. I figured at that price I would take a chance, and could return it if it didn't work out.

It worked out! I have had Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1 7" about a week, and it does everything it said it would (and I was able to do it the first day, not take 7 days of frustration trying without success, like the Cruz) It surfs the web, does facebook and email, and best of all for me, will download and read books from my public library!

That 's the main thing I wanted a reader to do, and it was surprisingly difficult to find one to do that, even if they claimed to. It can even stream video well, though not from youtube. If you love Ted.com, like I do, you will be able to easily stream video from that site -- just click "use my device's native video player".

Anyway, if people didn't like the Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1 7" the only valid complaints I see are that it is a trifle slow, but not terrible. Streaming video was even as good as my laptop once it loaded to the Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1. It is a bit sensitive on the accelorometer, so that it switches from portrait to landscape while reading sometimes.

The Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1 touchscreen is the best resistive screen I have used, very fall guy, very little pressure required. In fact, if you push too hard it actually does n't work likewise, just a light sweep to turn pages or a gentle push to navigate the menu buttons and keyboard screen.

Occasionally it is difficult to turn a page, not sure why, but it doesn't happen often. If you swipe the edge of the screen inward, just like you would turn a page, the Pandigital PRD07T20WBL1 works best.

Altogether, a great product, especially if you can find it on sale like I did.
