Violence in films seems to have the most influence over the young people. We only need to observe a little to see how much violence has increased among our youth. Young boys, and even girls, who come from well-to-do families, are involved in violent robberies. They do not do so because they are in need but because they have seen others of their own age doing the same acts with impunity on the screen. Films glorify violence and crime. The one who commits the crime somehow becomes the hero. Murderers and criminals are portrayed as courageous and intelligent. Crimes are made out to be attractive. The villain is an attractive character. He is casual, adventurous, smart and successful with women. To the young and immature mind of a person who is trying hard to create an impression on others the effect of watching such wanton violence in films is dangerous.
